Costa Rica hosted the Exchange of Experiences and Next Steps in Early Warning Regional Networks workshop which was organized as part of the framework of the European project Global Health Approach to reduce health risks in the Caribbean, known as AUSCAR, and was held on September 6th and 7th at the headquarters of CATIE (Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center).

The main objective of the workshop was for representatives from various organizations and regional networks to share their experiences with respect to the exchange of information relating to animal and plant health in the Caribbean. The CPHD Forum was well represented at the workshop.
